Ellis leaves the Orchha palace after getting the document signed by Ladai Sarkar. Ladai Sarkar orders that Rao Dulajo be duly entertained. In a drunken state, Rao Dulajo confides to the courtesan about the Adivasi tribes' poisonous arrows which Laxmibai refused to take but could destroy an entire army.
