Sakhu Bai, Gangadhar's sister-in-law, tells her grandson Krishna Rao that it is his right to rule Jhansi and predicts later that a female warrior will occupy Jhansi's throne. Vahini instructs a bedecked Manu not to leave the Bithur palace until her marriage takes place. Moti Bai refuses to accept Gangadhar's precious gifts and seeks his help for charity.
