Gangadhar and Laxmibai finally consummate their marriage as Raghunath, the Prime Minister and their men battle Malcolm's soldiers bravely outside the temple. Raghunath and the Prime Minister get badly injured and collapse. Meanwhile, Malcolm, seething with rage over his failure to kill Gangadhar and Laxmibai, decides to burn their palace.
