Laxmibai continues to seek help from the neighbouring kingdoms to strengthen her army but alas! Fear of the British and greed for power made all the kings of the other princely states decline from offering help to Laxmibai. Nelson is delighted to hear that Laxmibai and her followers were still wandering and deprived of food and money. Just then, he receives a telegram from Lord Dalhousie saying that he has sent a battalion from Gwalior to take away Jhansi's treasury. Meanwhile, Damodar keeps asking for food, so Laxmibai plucks some fruits and feeds it to Damodar.
