Nelson is delighted to hear that Laxmibai and her followers were still wandering and deprived of food and money. Just then, he receives a telegram from Lord Dalhousie saying that he has sent a battalion from Gwalior to take away Jhansi's treasury. Meanwhile, Damodar keeps asking for food, so Laxmibai plucks some fruits and feeds it to Damodar.
