Gangadhar tells Laxmibai that he is pleased with her and presents her with a beautiful palanquin. Aaishri tells Laxmibai that another gift awaits her. In the court, Laxmibai is about to get her rights when Fraser enters the court. Gangadhar tells Fraser that he has no right to interfere in the court. Laxmibai gets official administrative rights. Fraser tells Gangadhar that the Governor has reduced the time of the payment of the taxes from three months to fifteen days. Sakhubai gloats at her victory as she has the treasure. Laxmibai goes to visit the people of Orchha. She is moved by the pitiful plight of the people there. The people plead to Laxmibai to reduce the burden of their loans.
