A frustrated Gangadhar Rao drinks heavily in Motibai's chamber. Aaishri goes to Motibai's chamber and provokes Gangadhar against Laxmibai and her activities. A furious Gangadhar goes to the court. Sunder asks Kashi to reveal the truth to Gangadhar, but she does not get an opportunity. Acharya teaches the finer techniques of sword fighting to Laxmibai. In the court, Gangadhar issues an order asking the `sanyasis' to leave Jhansi.
