Damodar hits against a pillar and drops the letter before collapsing. A man exchanges the letter. Meanwhile, Moropant takes Laddi into confidence and says that they must find a way to get the English medicines for Damodar. Laddi goes out of the palace and gets the English medicines. On her way back, Laddi sees English soldiers dressing up as locals and planning a massacre. Back in the palace, Moropant then puts the royal seal on the letter without reading it and gives it to the Prime Minister.
